Facebook is no longer required to signup for +Spotify!
After +Spotify made the change in June for Germany ( https://plus.google.com/+ArvidBux/posts/2sHnRVBC55u ) as of today they also removed this requirement in the Netherlands according to the Dutch website NU.nl. For the US this requirement was already removed last week.
I was already using +Spotify before this silly requirement was put in place but I know loads of people who didn't create a Spotify account because of Facebook.
Good to see the team behind +Spotify got smart and killed this requirement.

I stopped using Spotify (free) when they announced this requirement which I cannot support.

The Facebook requirement was a very stupid move Spotify made. Now they finally realised it an corrected their mistake.

Rght … back on topic. I want G+ accounts (optional/choice/if you want). I see lots and lots of people sharing (youtube) music here. /me wants G+ spotify sharing. An no! no messages I will get to it when I want to

… silly requirement … inderdaad. Hebben ze trouwens nog best wel lang over gedaan om dat in te zien.
Het kan ook gewoon zijn dat ze dit al eerder ingezien hadden, maar een deal met Facebook hadden waar ze niet eerder onderuit konden.

Net even gekeken, maar ook op de Duitse site heb je Facebook acc nodig. Erg raar deze thread…
+Raymond Crott erg raar? Staat zelfs een link in de post die je naar de email only page leidt. En Duitsland is al twee maanden geleden veranderd, zelfs met officiële aankondiging van Spotify zelf.
Net even gekeken en op zowel de Duitse als Belgische site kun je zowel met Facebook als zonder Facebook een account aanmaken. Wel goed opletten. De Facebook optie staat groot aangegeven met daaronder een tekst link voor het aanmaken met een email adres.
Mooi is dat, eindelijk al dat gezeur over de inloggen gaat naar de emo-prullenbak!

Tja, zal dan bij jou zo zijn, maar als ik jou link volg kom ik op een signup pagina terecht. Daar kan ik of inloggen met Facebook of met spotify inloggen. Als ik op het laatste klik en een account wil aanmaken wordt ik doorverwezen om een Facebook acc te maken. Mss dat dit werkt via de computer maar in ieder geval niet met een tablet of smartphone
+Raymond Crott toch aanraden om eens met je computer te kijken. Want het werkt toch echt wel.
