It is not a major change or new feature but still it allows you to setup Hangout straight from Gmail.

I wonder if the image quality will be as bad as in normal Hangouts. The video quality in regular Gmail video calls is much better if you enable the video quality labs feature.
I also wonder about the quality.
What I like is that you don't need the Google Talk video chat plugin anymore, and probably more functionality.
+Bas van der Veeken you need the plugin! The first time you launch a hangout without the plugin, you are asked to install it!
Aww. Ok. That's a pity. Maybe in the near future they will use WebRTC so we don't need it.
