Battle of Britain Memorial
The course of the Second World War could have been entirely different if these brave men didn't defend the skies of Britain like they did. By fighting fearlessly, they delayed the German air superiority and with that any landing plans the Germans had to invade Britain.
Today I visited this new memorial, showing a lonely airmen watching the sky, the ocean and France. During the Battle of Britain, more than 20.000 civilians lost their life. The RAF lost 1,023 aircraft and 3,000 airmen and women. May we never forget

Shame so many of these memorials were actually created once many involved have now passed away. But a wonderful tribute none the less.
