+TomTom Official available on Android
After years of waiting, finally TomTom made its way to Android. Only thing they forgot was to support the latest device. Currently only devices with a resolution of 800 x 480 or  854 x 480 are supported. No Nexus 7, no Galaxy Nexus, no SGSIII. Not sure what TomTom was thinking but this isn't the best way to get people to use your product.

  1. I always hated TomTom Maps.
I always thought the graphics of their system looked like something out of 80's computers. Ugly as hell.

  3. I like the ad, but it's kind a silly not to support most top-of-the-line Android phones. Oh well, who needs TomTom anyway if there is turn-by-turn navigation completely free from Google :-)

  5. The problem is Android already has an arsenal of good navigation software. And the best one is free and preinstalled! (No complete offline navigation is the only downside for me)

  7. +Bas van der Veeken, it does work semi-offline. Did you try the cache for offline feature? I have a square around my home in there (as big as I could get). I also tested it. When you start the navigation job (and search for the destination) you still need data access, but you can do that at home, work or whatever. Then you can disable all data and it keeps working until you reach your destination.

  9. I agree. Nice video. Stupid exclude top Android phones. Graphics are extremely old-fashioned in comparison to other navigation software available for Android.
