Last week I received my Chromebox (ChromeOS desktop unit) and +Riël Notermans asked me to do some benchmarks as he wanted to compare his Chromebook to the Chromebox. As I can't install applications on ChromeOS we had to use an online benchmark tool: Peacekeeper.
The end result was:
- ChromeOS, Chrome: 2518, HTML5 capabilities: 7/7
To put this a bit in perspective, I've also done a benchmark on my MacBook Pro:
- MBP 13", 10.8.1, Safari: 2365, HTML5 capabilities: 4/7
In the attached gallery I've included some more browsers including their specs and scores, including iPad 2 and the Nexus 7.
It would be great to see others also run this test and share their results. You can do that here: http://peacekeeper.futuremark.com/. Make sure to add the hashtag : #testyourbrowser
Happy Benchmarking!

430 and 4/7 on Galaxy Nexus, but I think it was a little incorrect, because I had 5 other Chrome tabs open, and 4 other apps.
+Michael Grasser I indeed made sure everything was closed or I even did a reboot.
Great results for the chromebox. The MBP processor is more powerfull then the i5 on paper.
The Chromebook 550 scored 7/7 and 1600 points. The series 5 (atom) scored about 600 points.

Just got 3194 on my Lenovo Y570 in Windows, with TF2 running, PuTTY running, about 50 chrome tabs, and skype.
Running my home PC now too. Need to run it trough Chrome remote desktop, so hope it won't slow the browser down (the browser is server too now
)
Not too bad, this is an i5 2500k with an 5850HD card (I use it for simracing). Scoring 7/7 and 4309…

Nice test, scored a 512 on Chrome wit my Galaxy Nexus
laptop Debian Squeeze (linux) with Chrome Stable: 2473
HTML5 Capabilities 6/7 (webgl isn't supported in chrome for linux, so probably that)
The stock browser of the Jelly Bean Rom (AOPK) on my Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) scored 251 and 3/7.
Perhaps surprisingly, I got 220 and 1/7 with Chrome on the same device.
