Music Monday : ‘Swedish House Mafia – One’

Last weekend I went to Extrema Outdoor, one of the best outdoor parties! Best music, best location and most of all the SUN! See pictures and short video-clips here. One of the best songs and which also caused DJ Chuckie to raise the roof was ‘Swedish House Mafia -- One‘, therefore my pick for this week’s Music Monday that song.

As we are still a bit in the mood of the World Cup, I picked a video of the celebration that took place on Museum Plein. Sorry for the voice-over but it does show that the Dutch are a party nation :)

Music Monday: “Cygnus X – Superstring”

Last week Sensation White took place, of course I was there! It was a great party and for sure, I want to be there next year as well. One of the songs played there was Cygnus X -- Superstring one of the best trance songs ever made. It has remixes from all the great DJs and producers and was the anthem of Sensation 2000. Even after 10 years, this song still gives me the chills, therefore  this week’s Music Monday track: Cygnus X -- Superstring

Music Monday: “Sam Sparro – Black & Gold”

No many words to add here, this week’s Music Monday: Sam Sparro – Black & Gold

I don’t see what i can feel if vision is the only validation then most of my life isn’t real

Music Monday: “Buena Vista Social Club – Clocks”

Summer is coming again and this group just has a lot of songs that have “summer” written all over them. To start his week I am choosing: Buena Vista Social Club -- Clocks

Music Monday: “MIKA – Rain”

Last weekend it was Pinkpop, one of the oldest festivals in Europe and I saw MIKA performing live. Great show, awesome to hear all the songs played live on stage. I have to say MIKA is one hell of a performer and it was a pleasure seeing the show! It was pouring during the festival but when MIKA started the song Rain, it all of a sudden stopped raining. Therefore this week’s song for Music Monday; MIKA -- Rain

Music Monday: “Madonna – Jump”

Music Monday again, weeks go fast! Sometimes in life, you have to jump in order to something that you really want. This song represents this perfectly, not only in words but also watching the clip. My pick for this week’s Music Monday: Madonna – Jump

Music Monday: Billy Joel – You’re My Home

It has been a hectic week. Flew all the way to Florida to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis take off, get a guided tour over the entire complex and even meet some key people of NASA. All that in just one week. The day after the shuttle took off, the crew was waken up with this song. After listening to it and reading the lyrics, it will also be my song when I get back home again. My Music Monday: Billy Joel -- You’re My Home

Music Monday : “Aerosmith – I Don’t Want To Close My Eyes”

It is Monday again and time for a new track for the Music Monday. Is might already have noticed, I will be visiting Kennedy Space Center this week to be there when a Space Shuttle is launched. Each time when I see something like that happening, I think back of when I first saw the movie Armageddon. It was on a bus while driving to Calais to cross the English Channel for a school trip to London. One of the songs on the soundtrack is Aerosmith-I Don’t Want To Close My Eyes which is also my song for this week’s Music Monday!

Music Monday : “Spice Girls – Viva Forever”

It is Monday again and time for a new track for the Music Monday. This time I have a track that reminds me of a trip through the Southern part of Britain. It was Summer holiday and I joined my uncle and aunt on their ‘roadtrip’ from Hastings to Torquay. While driving through the English nature (passing Stonehenge, Seven Sisters and more), glancing through the car window, I listened quite often to this song. My Music Monday: Spice Girls -- Viva Forever

Music Monday: “Margriet Sjoerdsma – Time will tell”

It is Monday and for today, I didn’t had any problems in picking a track. Last Friday I went to a live performance of Margriet Sjoerdsma. Besides that I know Margriet from high school, I also like her music and the way she sings. She has a very nice voice, I like the way how she can use her voice. Both her albums made it to my iPod (when I still had it!) and I am anxiously waiting for her new album. Today’s song for Music Monday is: Margriet Sjoerdsma -- Time will tell
